We are currently interviewing for a Quality Inspector in our Cincinnati, OH plant.

At Bodycote what we do matters and as a member of our team, what you do matters too. Are you interested in a fast-paced environment where you can learn metallurgy? In this role, you will inspect parts against customer specifications while working with our Quality Managers. In addition, you will:
  • Accurately perform hardness and other tests and record results as required
  • Perform calibration of all testing equipment accurately and on schedule
  • Perform audits, weekly probes, surveys, etc. as needed or defined by procedure and/or schedule
  • May be required to complete conformance certificates and/or other related paperwork
  • Promote safety and good housekeeping practices
  • This position will allow for cross-training and the development of additional skills
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders
  • Education – High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred – one to three years experience in metal components, as an inspector, or working in the heat treating industry
  • Must have a working knowledge of all testing equipment and terminology
  • Basic knowledge of commercial and aerospace materials and heat-treating equipment is desired
  • Must have some experience reading/interpreting blueprints/specifications, be detail-oriented, and possess manual dexterity
  • May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required
This position requires the following physical and mental demands consisting of, but not limited to the following:
  • Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods in an office/industrial environment
  • Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
  • Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity, etc.
  • Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
  • Ability to hear in person and via phone
